Interior Architecture, Joinery Design, Finishes & Furniture Selection

Our goal was to preserve the charm of the original period home while seamlessly integrating a contemporary two-story extension, typical of modern Australian architecture. The extension spans two floors, featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a powder room, a Euro laundry, a kitchen, a living area, a formal living room, and a convenient under-stair storage wine cellar. Architectural angles were designed to maximize internal ceiling heights and natural lighting, all while adhering to planning regulations for a narrow block. The exterior palette includes spotted-gum tongue-and-groove timber for warmth, contrasted with ice white bricks and charcoal monument steel cladding for a modern touch. Inside, the aim was to create a tranquil retreat inspired by the client's preference for spa-like hotels. The interior palette features oak, earthy greens, soft terracotta tones, and subtle musky hues, enriched with brass and copper accents. The result is a highly functional three-bedroom home that maximizes natural light and offers green views from most rooms
